The news was announced last night at our monthly Central Committee meeting. Rev. CL Bryant, activist, freedom lover and truth teller, will be our keynote speaker for our Lincoln Dinner. You’ve seen him on Fox News and other news channels. Linda and I saw him at the Leadership Program of the Rockies (LPR) and he brought the house down. His life experience parallels what has happened to this country and he is working hard to turn it around. He is an author and has produced the movie called, “Runaway Slave”. We are pleased that Bob Beauprez has agreed to be our MC. This is going to be an exciting uplifting event and when you hear CL speak, you’ll be very moved and even more enthused about taking our country back. It will be at the Chateaux September 6, 2012. There will be much more to follow about details and pricing.

Erich Feigel, Chairman

Two longs days at the Colorado Convention Center and at the Magness Arena this weekend. These were both well attended I’ll give you the short version here and there will be more results will be published as the State GOP formats the full results and Resolutions.

Friday:

Everyone from Broomfield did a GREAT job at the State Assemblies – JD17, HD33, SD23 and CD2. Broomfield delivered big-time with a full compliment of Delegates voting at each Assembly. This shows the enthusiasm for getting our country back on the rails in 2012. David Pigott is now designated to the primary ballot for HD33 and Vicky Marble and Glenn Vaad are designated to the ballot for SD23 and Kevin Lundberg for CD2.

Saturday:

Matt Arnold and Brian Davidson will both be on the June primary ballot vying for CU Regent at Large. Lilly Nunuez and Mike Kopp are our National Committee Woman and Committee Man. We voted on 61 resolutions (results are not published yet).

National Delegates results (12 voted at State and 21 at CD meetings) can be read here.

Regarding, “Conservatives won’t Vote for Romney” – Oct 16, Mr. Nelson complains that he and other conservatives would never vote for Mitt Romney. He states that “If Romney is on the ballot next November, I will be forced to vote for the Constitution Party or the Libertarian Party.” While that is certainly your choice I would remind you and other conservatives that there is a long way to go in picking the nominee and “it ain’t over ‘til it’s over”. While it may be satisfying to complain about the state of our affairs, the only affect you can have as an unaffiliated voter is to vote in November. Your choices at that point may be limited.

As a GOP County Chairman, I am bound to maintain pre-primary neutrality and I will not violate that trust. However, I will say I have heard from others who say they are not happy with some in our current field. The good news is we live in a state that affords its citizens a powerful voice in picking our candidates – a Caucus/Assembly/Primary process. Most states do not confer much power to the voters regarding the selection of candidates.

Colorado will hold the Republican Caucus on February 7, 2012. You can be elected as a Delegate which gives you the opportunity to vote for your favorite candidate. Delegates vote at the County and State levels to determine who gets on the Primary Ballot. If you want to have a say in the Republican nominee, change your party affiliation no later than 60 days prior to the Caucus and compete with other citizens for a Delegate position. And, it’s fun! Take action now to make your voice heard.
