Derrick is the Founder, President and Chairman of the Board of the Rocky Mountain Black Conservatives, American Conservatives of Color, and BlackandConservative.com. His organization’s and personal mission are to bridge the gap that exists between conservative political causes and parties and ethnic-minorities in the USA.
Through local meetings, film and radio programs, on-the-ground efforts, writing and social media his organizations are delivering the message of conservatism to ethnic minorities, and the tools of effective outreach to conservative groups. An accomplished motivational speaker, Derrick has delivers powerful messages to political and community action groups across the nation.
He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in marketing and economics, as well as a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco, has served as a faculty adjunct in the undergraduate school of business at the University of Phoenix’s San Jose California, campus, has three books currently in print and has spoken at conferences, conventions, universities, and political gatherings across North America.
Over the last two years, Derrick has traveled the United States speaking to conservative groups, including engagements in Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and other areas across the Southwest United State. Most recently, Derrick headlined the Texas Freedom Rally which took place in San Antonio Texas, in January 2014.
Not only a sought after speaker/presenter, Derrick is also a renown author and columnist, contributing columns and editorial content to local newspapers (Colorado Springs Gazette, Colorado Common Sense News) and may be read nationally on American Thinker, Freedom’s Journal and the Tea Party News Network. His online videos may be viewed on the ACofC youtube channel and he frequently delivers the Tea Party National Weekly Address.
